DAILY RECAP

Father’s Day was awesome. We did exactly what Michael wanted to do. E and let him sleep and sleep until he couldn’t anymore. Once all caught up and refreshed we made him breakfast. Monday was incredibly hectic. As you all know I am a nut the day of travel. I love travel, exploring new places and trying new things but seriously I need to be medicated the day of travel. I get so wacked out…especially when I am not traveling with my family. I start to miss them before I go! Now how ridiculous is that? My mind can be my worse enemy. The flight was a piece of cake. The worse part about flying from coast to coast is my ass goes numb and feels totally flat. It took about 2 hours to fluff it back up, LOL! I wish so bad I could sleep on planes but I just can not get comfy.

BRANDI’S RANT

Ok so the other day I was listening to the Allan Handleman talk radio show. I seriously could not believe what I was hearing. He was hosting a show discussing tattoos, piercings, smoking and there effects on the youth job market. The topic right off the bat caught my attention so I tuned in. He was asking the question if tats and piercings offended customers and that perhaps that had something to do with today’s youth not getting jobs. Several callers chimed in commenting that they were young working professionals with visible tats and so forth and that those things did not have any bearing on their jobs. Others called in, in my opinion very smart callers, stating that there was a time and a place to show off their goods (tats and piercings) and that was after work. They creatively concealed their art work until after hours. Brilliant youngsters! Bigger issue that found the surface…youth not even trying to get jobs! What? Yep you heard me. Parents called in saying that they had “the talk” with their kid telling them life was expensive and that they needed to get out and find a job. Kid’s reaction? “I don’t want to”. Gee, I wonder why mom and dad! You have catered to their every whim and bought them everything they could want. Why in the hell would they want to get off their lazy asses and actually have to work for a living? The amazing part to me was many of these parents were miffed by their children’s lack of desire to work. WAKE UP PARENTS! Omg if you spoil a child and never teach them about taking pride in their work and working hard for what you have, earning what you want and so forth….why would a child even contemplate getting a job? Bad parents, you should be spanked! You are not doing the next generation any good by being over bearing and allowing your guilt to motivate how you discipline or should I say how you DON”T discipline. Raise your children with love and teach them the things that will make them wise and a benefit to society. Ok I am done
