Shock Jock Attacks Sexually Liberated Woman
Dear Bob and the Showgram,
I have to start this off as cliché as it is with…. I love the show and listen almost everyday. You guys are entertaining, sometimes informative and always capable of getting under my skin. Bob, you are very good at what you do. You are a shock jock. But I also think you are much more. Not that this matters to you at all but like other shock jocks I know there is always the “persona” and then the man (or woman).
I have been a fan and listener for about 10 years and have heard through your voice and the things you choose to talk about the many personal changes you have experienced. These experiences have rounded you out, making you even more interesting and intriguing. Kristen, Mike and of course John add such unique yet different personalities. But this note is geared toward you Bob. Regardless of ones opinions on Politics, religion, marriage, children, money, or even adult entertainment…..I can appreciate and enjoy our differences of opinions. Believe it or not we agree on a few! But here is where I have concern.
Take this with a grain of salt or read it and genuinely consider what I am saying. You have fun poking fun at strippers and engaging in numerous conversations about sex and peoples sexuality. Of course you do, it is great for numbers and listeners love it. Practically every movie in Hollywood has the “stripper” scene. I do not think we really need to go into the “why” …… you already know …. It sells!
Bob you tend to be very logical in your opinions as well as traditional. Very cool. However I sense a serious issue with you when it comes to women. Why do you so aggressively attack sexually liberated woman? I am being serious and not trying to start a fight. I am concerned. You seem to have a real underlying dislike for women.
I have noticed this for years with you and the Tiger Woods sex scandal has finally lead me to write you. You have never, (maybe you can find a sound bite but I am betting on you can’t) verbally attacked a man for being a gigolo , man whore or slut but you will be the first to use a condescending and judgmental tone when referring to woman acting the same way as a sexually active man.
I know society molds us that way blah blah, but I would hope that you were one not to succumb to such weakness. You have come across regarding Tiger with a laissez faire commentary towards him, claiming you will continue to watch and support Tiger as an athlete. But the women? Heaven forbid the whores who slept with him!
WHAT? You very clearly fell out when you discovered one was a porn star. Why? No really…why? The way the numbers are coming out Tiger may have had more sex partners than the porn star. Think about it.
What is your real hang up Bob? I really am at a loss as to why you can’t stand and are so disgusted by women who love sex but men….shoot , as far as you seem concerned, men can screw everyone and anyone and on to the next topic. Are you jealous? Easier to pick on women then men? Intimidated by women with more sexual experience than you? Just asking not assuming or telling. I would really like to know. Perhaps you are not even aware how obvious your words are.…. But they are, actually they are blatant.
Your response to women on this topic is also extremely illogical. You are pretty moderate and dare I say balanced about most topics you guys discuss but when you get onto “women” and their bedroom habits, whoooooo nelly listen to Bob go off like a firecracker. Yes I said cracker! (inside joke). Something inside you is all pent up and in my opinion, you need to deal with it. I say this because the anger against women I hear in your commentary has become worse through the years. If you were as judgmental and let’s say “mean” to men equally as you are to women, this letter would not be written, but in my opinion … you are not .
You have been called out before by Mike and Kristen as being one sided in your views regarding sexual activity. You have responded to their comments with “yeah so” or something like “that’s right, it’s not ok for women”. Come on Bob really? Where is the logic? I sincerely hope your attitude towards sex is just a “thang” for the show and not your true view, because frankly it is unnerving.
Anyhoo, keep on keeping guys. I love the show and will continue to be a loyal listener. Congrats Kristen on your strength to know thyself and choose to not have children, congrats to you Mike on your new bundle of you and congrats to you Bob for your awesome work raising money and awareness for the many charities you support as well as your “kid of the week” program. Well said/written. There are many factors that may contribute to this double standard. Personally, I believe that American society & culture are the main culprit. I’m grateful that I was able to spend the bulk of my formative years serving in Europe for the Air Force. Not only did my attitude change about what I believed to be “right” or “wrong”, but I began to realize that there was a certain serenity to living open & honest. It’s a shame that people can’t accept the many paths one can choose. As they say, “variety is the spice of life”. There are so many ways to use passion beyond spite or hate. But then, I’m preaching to the choir.

Two words: sexual misogynist.
The problem with those in talk media, particularly long-term personalities, is that their perspective becomes stale and irrelevant when compared to contemporary issues. The length of their tenure and size of their market can also be key factors in dictating the scope of their impact and potential need to support provocative points of view in order to remain “fresh” and “on top”.
The bottom line is this guy is a no-talent assclown who, in his own bedroom, probably likes to wear a diaper and be spanked by his well-paid dominatrix. His tirade against sexually liberal women is a possible indicator that he is riddled with his own problems, probably fueled by guilt regarding the nature of his own sexual preferences. Hypocrisy of this type is certainly not a novel concept amongst the media and celebrity elites in this country. Further, those who are comfortable and confident in their lifestyle choices — some of which are alternative — spurs jealousy in ‘commentators’, who criticize and condemn those very same people they envy.
Hun, your point is well-made, justified, and certainly relevant. Kudos to you for taking on this ignoramus-assclown directly.
